Good Houston Music this weekend

There are two shows this weekend in Houston that I can highly recommend.

* Friday: Little Brother Project with A>S>H>S at the Meridian.

LBP is a great jam band, very danceable and groovy. You may remember Marc (the awesome lead guitar player) from his 9-month stint as Drop Trio's bassist. They're celebrating the 1-year anniversary of Coy, their bassist, having a heart transplant. A FREAKING HEART TRANSPLANT! So go show them some love.

Little Brother Project, ASHS, The Flavor Conductors
Fri. Jan. 27 @ The Meridian – 1503 Chartres
Doors: 7:00 PM; Cover: $8

BTW, A>S>H>S is great too - I played on their new album, and they put on a hell of a show (pounding bass & drums with subtle & beautiful songwriting).

* Saturday: Orange Is In CD Release at Rudyards (with Arthur Yoria & Sky Blue 72).

Orange Is In = great songwriting. I played on the CD that's being released, and I can tell you that it rules.

Orange Is In - CD Release Party w/ Arthur Yoria & Sky Blue 72
Sat. January 28 @ Rudyard’s – 2010 Waugh Drive - 10pm

Arthur Yoria's great (I play piano on his new EP, which incidentally just hit #10 on some chart or something) and Sky Blue 72 is ubiquitously excellent.
